Ashtanga half-primary practice + other beneficial asanas (from primary & intermediate) and other hatha yoga practices. -
ASANA THEORY
Asana theory and laboratory to gain deeper understanding of the fundamental actions in each pose and vinyasa. -
A LIFE LONG COMPANION
This practice is a life-long companion, giving the yogi the gift of health and awareness in return for sādhana (practice). -
SELF PRACTICE
You will learn a sequence that you can, and are encouraged to, practice on your own! When you learn it by heart, you can go deeper, and use the practice as a meditation. -
ONLINE COMMUNITY
Support for your home practice with an online community for morning self-practice on Sundays. -

Course Schedule
The course runs 8 weeks from 28th of February to 24th of April 2022.
Can't join a class? Watch the recording later!
We will meet online two days a week for a led yoga practice, and have a look at a special topic. On *Sundays there is an extra zoom meeting to support your home self-practice. If you do not have a self-practice, you can practice to any of the course videos.
Mondays 16.15 - 17.40
LED CLASS
Asana practice & relaxation (about 65 minutes)
Asana theory (about 20 minutes)
– we read what the traditional and newer books say about asanas, and explore them more. We will focus on the very fundamental elements of each pose, which is an excellent way to experienced practitioners to deepen their practice, and a fantastic opportunity for beginners to secure a stable foundation in practice!

Wednesdays 16.15 - 17.40
LED CLASS
Asana practice & relaxation (about 65 minutes)
Patanjali yoga philosophy (about 20 minutes)
– we study specific sutras to be able to widen and deepen our practice yoga even more, with more understanding.
Chanting of certain sutras in sanskrit will take place. No previous experience needed, and chanting is not mandatory.

ONLINE COMMUNITY SELF PRACTICE
Zoom-community self-practice (no teaching).
Provides a nice and supportive group setting for your morning practice, where everybody can see each other. This is also a good place ask questions when needed, but otherwise please keep everyday talking to a minimum during practice.
Introduction to mysore style self-practice will be held at a later point.
Zoom
We will use the zoom platform where we call can see each other. You will be requested to have your camera on when you practice, and preferably so that I can see your whole body and yoga mat when practicing.

Who can join?
Everybody is warmly welcomed to practice with me. This course is all about the fundamentals, which is an excellent way for experienced practitioners to deepen their practice, and a fantastic opportunity for beginners to develop a stable foundation in practice!
Beginners
As a beginner you are required to look at the free yoga introduction available on my homepage, where you will learn correct breathing technique and a few basic postures before our first live class.
Please look at the free ashtanga yoga introduction even if you have practiced other forms of yoga before.
Experienced Ashtangis
As an experienced practitioner you will learn to deepen your practice by exploring the very fundamentals of the practice and poses.
FREE Practice videos
You will get a few additional practice videos during the course that you can keep practicing with if you want to keep a daily practice habit, in a addition to the course classes. This video class will be a shorter session each week, and build upon what we learn during our zoom "dates" 🙂

– I teach ashtanga and hatha yoga in a gentle, therapeutic and allowing way. I want the student to get maximum benefit from the practice, and that most often needs to happen gently.
